NOVATEC NEWS

MAC (Automatic Climbing System) for QIMR Brisbane

In early 2010 NOVATEC reached another memorable milestone in being contracted to design & supply our MAC (Automatic Climber) jump form system to construct both the Lift & Stair Cores on the new QIMR project at the Royal Brisbane Hospital in Brisbane.

This 16 level Building presented our design team with some challenging issues, including obstructions at existing adjacent buildings & the planning to install the specified external precast panels through the peripheral area of the Climbing System.

WA MARKET Penetration Continues..

NOVATEC's Novatec WA continues to secure many high-profile projects & our formwork solutions are becoming increasingly sought after.

May 2010 ended on a very successful note, with NOVATEC securing a lucrative contract to supply our StarTec formwork to one of the 1st construction packages at the GORGON PROJECT, on Barrow Island. More decision makers are seeing the results & more results are increasing demand for our MEVA products.

April 2010 was the month for NOVATEC to achieve another milestone !
After the initial WA launch of our MAC (Automatic Climber) a year or 2 ago, we have been successful in winning the QUEENS RIVERSIDE PROJECT. Our reputation as a supplier of  tried & proven  climbing systems continues to give our clients the confidence they need!

During the last quarter of 2009 we were successful in being awarded a contract to supply approx 800m2 of StarTec panel wall formwork system to the BINNINGUP DESALINATION PLANT in Kwinana. The many benefits of utilising the StarTec system were immediately obvious to the site team.Today we continue to work with the client to meet the tight construction schedule, supplying some 700m2 of additional formwork as required.

Another exciting project continues at the  SINO IRON PROJECT in the Pilbarra. Once again our StarTec panel formwork system has proven to be the right solution for this type of work. Less labour + more versatility - thats the key to an all round successful contract !

NOVATEC opens in WA

With serious demand for our products & services becoming evident in WA during 2007 -2009, along with our involvement in several highly successful  major projects,it was time to open an Office in Perth, which was established in early 2009. .The decision has proved to be well-founded with the WA business continuing to expand, & in late 2009 we relocated to our own Storage Yard in Wattleup.

Introducing... NovaLoc

An economical high load falsework alternative

A truly innovative engineering concept has seen Novatec Construction Systems design, manufacture & launch the all new NovaLoc system. NovaLoc has been designed to compliment the overall functionality of our MevaDec slab forming systems. We have taken the use of high load capacity scaffolding one step further, with proprietary dimensioned ledgers and standards being used to enable the safe and efficient use of standard MevaDec components.

The benefits of early stripping and undisturbed back-propping are still realised, with the MD Drop-Head being fixed to the NovaLoc standards. The highly successful combination ensures that bracing under concrete beams is optimized, which translates to improved productivity and reduced material costs. Introducing... MAC

Automatic Climbing System

The crane-independent, fully automatic hydraulic system MAC Automatic Climbing offers a fast stroke with the unique MEVA 3-way adjustment option for aligning the forms.

MAC is recognized as the fastest technology for climbing high-rise buildings.
The platforms per side, are moved via hydraulic ram as a complete unit. The lift of 4.00 takes only about 60 minutes. Roll back, suspended shutters increase work speed, resulting in a „steel concrete works plus one day“ schedule. Apart from assembly, MAC is completely crane-independent. Thus, work-flow is never hindered by wind velocities at great heights. more
